H O M E S C H O O L I N G

So crazy to think we are into our second year of homeschooling (as I write this in fall 2016). A few months ago the book "For Children's Sake" ended up in my lap, opening my eyes for the first time to the beauty of the Charlotte Mason method of homeschooling.

I've had these dreams for my kids (which is a part of why we are straying from the norm in homeschooling to begin with) that makes room for them to follow their own interests, to be lead to the God of love that is in wild pursuit of them, and to spend time surrounded by the simple beauty found in art and nature. Charlotte Mason is such a perfect fit for us.

I have been incredibly inspired by Jodi Mockabee, Bethany Douglass, and Michelle Garrels (wife of one of our favorite artists, Josh Garrels).

I wrote a bit more about our path to Charlotte Mason in May.
